Works with separate soft subtitle tracks and external subtitle files. Burned-in text cannot be extracted directly. Image subtitles can be extracted unchanged as MKS; text editing and OCR are unavailable.

Video and audio codecs are preserved by default. MP4 converts text subtitles and may lose styling; MKV can preserve original tracks. New subtitles remain switchable. Removing tracks cannot remove burned-in text.

Supports SRT / VTT / ASS / SSA, including editing without a video. Import replaces the current editor content. The editor uses SRT text; ASS styles, positioning and effects are not fully preserved.
